My experience with Rice Heating was great. The two service technicians were very professional, courteous, and explained the issue with my filter. They also cleaned up after their work and discussed what they did for me. I have had an issue with my thermostat, and they worked patiently with me to get that reprogrammed. I have absolutely recommended them several times to friends in both Corvallis and Albany. I trust the company and their workmanship, and I will use Rice Heating in future.
My recommendation for Heating and Air Conditioning service and installation is Rice Heating and Air Conditioning in Tangent, OR. Owner Calvin Rice and his technicians have always provided prompt and friendly service as well as very good maintenance and repair for our home systems for over 12 years. In that period of time they have also installed a new furnace as well as a new hot water heater. We have always been able to depend on Rice Heating and Air Conditioning.
I went with Rice Heating because they were well recommended. Service guy came on time, wore shoe coverings, and answered all my questions. They’re 10 out of 10! I’d recommend them to friends and neighbors.
Thanks for dropping by Tuesday to check on my furnace and thermostat and also not try to sell me a new furnace.
Your guy came by later to check on the furnace and thermostat. He found nothing wrong with the furnace but discovered that the furnace was turning on and off too quickly. He explained that systems such as mine are set to turn on and off about 9 times an hour. Installed a new thermostat and the furnace is now turning on and off at about 7 minutes, which is better. I can now manage my cycle better by setting the thermostat at about 67 degrees and using a space heater in my tv/den room where I spend a lot of my days. Thanks again.

Rice Heating was the first company to respond, and I’m well pleased with their service.
The day our heating and cooling went out, and the temperature was 90 degrees, we called Rice Heating. They came out the next morning, and we were thrilled to see them so soon. The guys were thorough, very friendly, and they explained well what was going on with our unit. We hope to call them in future for all our heating and cooling needs.
The service man that came to my home was friendly and knowledgeable. Did his job quietly and then left. He let me know that everything was in good condition.

The service techs from Rice heating have always been professional and helpful. In fact I think the owner was out here once or twice, when things were busy and he was very friendly too. I have never felt pressured to upgrade or buy new equipment, and the VIP program allows me to know that my somewhat elderly furnace and AC are being well taken care of.
All the techs that work for Calvin’s business, I appreciate. I always feel secure when they leave. In the five to six years we have used Rice Heating and Air, we never have had to call them back when they leave. That’s unusual in this day and age from what I have heard from my friends and their experiences. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right.

Last January my 20-year-old Trane HVAC died at a most inopportune time! Cold weather but as I called Rice Heating & Air Conditioning for assistance, they were right there for me! Within a few days they installed a York HVAC which has been humming along ever since. Last week I received a call to schedule a maintenance check. Both the installing tech & the maintenance tech were professional and efficient. I am very pleased with their family business and will be a long-term customer in the future.
Your tech, Brian, is one thorough technician. Most extensive check of our system to date. Me of course worrying he’s going to find something wrong. Heh.This system’s worked perfect for us since October 2014. I think the tags say installed 2011. I would give all 5 stars about his service.
